The Sungai Prai Bridge on the west coast of Malaysia has received two prestigious awards: the Award for Transportation Structures and the Supreme Award for Engineering Excellence 2006.
Lafarge Malayan Cement supplied 24,000 tonnes of Mascrete cement used to pour the 1,350 pre-cast concrete segments. These segments now form a 1.85 kilometer bridge which features an impressive 185 meter cable-stayed main span.

Putrajaya, the administrative capital of the Malaysian Federal Government, is at the forefront of sustainable development. As part of a major urban development project, the city uses Lafarge's Portland and Mascrete cements for building the administrative buildings, mosques and hospitals. Over 2 million m³ of concrete have been supplied.
